The cycling spirit drove Doug to open University Bicycles in March 1985. He secured a small basement location on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado and began to rent and repair anything he could. The business grew rapidly and within eight months was moved to the larger location at 9th and Pearl, where it resides today. University Bicycles is the oldest bicycle shop in Boulder, and thrives on the philosophy of treating each customer with unrelenting friendliness.

At University Bicycles we strive to fill our community’s cycling needs with honesty and integrity.  We take pride in our friendly staff and expert service and hope to exceed your expectations in every way. We are all avid cyclists and very active in our community and hope to see you having fun out on the roads, trails, and paths.
